Questo è ciò che definisce lo standard di trasmissione HDMI
- L'HDMI trasmette il segnale audio al dispositivo ricevitore oltre al materiale dell'immagine con un solo cavo. Il suono può essere trasmesso fino a 32 canali (con HDMI 2.0 e versioni successive).
- A partire da HDMI 2.0, è possibile trasmettere video con una risoluzione fino a 4.096 x 2.160 pixel sul monitor.
- HDMI supporta la protezione da copia HDCP (High Definition Digital Content Protection), che consente di trasferire contenuti da Blu-ray e altro materiale 4K.
- Poiché sempre più dispositivi come smartphone, tablet e computer supportano lo standard HDMI, è possibile riprodurre facilmente file multimediali su un ricevitore TV.
Ho bisogno della connessione HDMI?
- Se si utilizza un televisore in grado di visualizzare risoluzioni in Full HD o superiore, HDMI è sicuramente utile e talvolta è persino essenziale.
- Il cavo HDMI è anche più salvaspazio rispetto, ad esempio, a una connessione Scart. Fatta eccezione per la durata del cavo sottile, HDMI porta solo vantaggi per immagini e audio.
