Ad esempio, se si dispone di spazio limitato su un disco rimovibile, è utile ridurre i video. Ci sono due modi per farlo.
- Per formati "meno recenti" come .mpg o .avi, la riduzione del video funziona molto bene con VirtualDub. Per fare ciò, carica il video ed esportalo di nuovo a una risoluzione inferiore (vedi screenshot).
- Il convertitore video SUPER è adatto per quasi tutti i formati video. Puoi vedere come funziona questo strumento nella galleria di immagini qui sotto.
- Puoi convertire video in altri formati con strumenti freeware come SUPER o Freemake Video Converter. La maggior parte delle volte ti verrà mostrato quanto spazio occuperà il file di destinazione.

Per ridurre un video con il SUPER freeware, fai clic da qualche parte nel programma a destra e seleziona "Aggiungi file multimediali ..."
Scegli il video originale che desideri ridurre.
Dopo aver facoltativamente modificato il formato di uscita video in alto, fai clic su "Altro" nella scheda "Video" per visualizzare altre dimensioni del video. Seleziona qui la dimensione del video in cui vuoi convertire il video. Se fai di nuovo clic su "Altro", puoi regolare le dimensioni manualmente.
Se si sceglie una velocità in bit inferiore a quella precedente, la qualità del file verrà ridotta oltre alle dimensioni del file.
Fai clic su "Codifica" per creare il video.
Nella scheda "Output" puoi vedere come viene creato il tuo video. In basso a destra puoi vedere le dimensioni del file corrente. Nel nostro esempio, il video alla fine era di 42 MB anziché 87 MB.
