Vertice del G20: cosa sta realmente accadendo lì?
Il vertice del G20 si svolgerà quest'anno il 7 e 8 luglio ad Amburgo su proposta del cancelliere federale. Un paese diverso ospita il vertice ogni anno. L'incontro si è tenuto in Cina l'anno scorso, l'ultimo incontro in Germania è stato nel 2004 a Berlino.
- G20 sta per "Gruppo di 20". È un'unione dei 19 più importanti paesi industrializzati ed emergenti e l'Unione Europea.
- I paesi del G20 rappresentano quasi i due terzi della popolazione mondiale e insieme generano l'85% del prodotto interno lordo del mondo.
- I capi di stato e di governo, nonché i ministri delle finanze e i capi della banca centrale dei 19 Stati membri partecipano alle riunioni annuali. Per l'UE partecipano il presidente del Consiglio europeo e il presidente della Banca centrale europea. Sono presenti anche il direttore del Fondo monetario internazionale, il presidente del Comitato monetario e finanziario internazionale (IMFC), il presidente della Banca mondiale e il presidente del comitato di sviluppo dell'OCSE.
- Gli incontri dovrebbero servire a discutere problemi di importanza internazionale e a trovare soluzioni. Gli argomenti includono i cambiamenti climatici o la crisi dei rifugiati.
Critiche al vertice del G20: cosa hanno le persone contro di esso?
Vi sono molte critiche nei confronti del gruppo di 20 e del vertice del G20. Ad Amburgo, persone provenienti da tutta Europa stanno attualmente protestando contro l'incontro. Le critiche nella panoramica:
- Partecipanti: anche i capi di stato accusati di violazione dei diritti umani prendono parte al vertice. Ad esempio Erdoğan per la Turchia o Putin per la Russia.
- Chi non viene: solo 19 paesi e l'UE prendono parte al vertice del G20. Tuttavia, vengono discussi argomenti e vengono prese decisioni che riguardano tutti i paesi del mondo. Ad esempio, solo un Paese africano partecipa: il Sudafrica. Tuttavia, si stanno discutendo anche carestie e guerre in Africa.
- Non democratico: i 20 partecipanti non sono eletti democraticamente. Il G20 non è un'istituzione ufficiale, contrariamente alle Nazioni Unite, in cui sono rappresentati tutti gli stati.
- Ipocrita: i critici accusano i membri di combattere la guerra, la povertà o i cambiamenti climatici solo come copertura del vertice del G20. Invece di eliminare i problemi, gli Stati userebbero il vertice per negoziare oltre le Nazioni Unite. Ciò aggraverebbe la disuguaglianza globale attraverso la privatizzazione, la deregolamentazione e la collusione finanziaria.
