Come iTunes gestisce la tua musica
- iTunes è una directory. Ciò significa che il software può ricordare dove sono archiviati i rispettivi file musicali sul disco rigido e accedervi di conseguenza.
- Le informazioni sono memorizzate nella cosiddetta libreria multimediale iTunes.
- La libreria multimediale è costituita dai due file "iTunes Library.itl" e "iTunes Library.xml" ed è memorizzata per impostazione predefinita in Mac OS X nella cartella "/ Utenti / nome utente / Musica / iTunes /" e in Windows 8 nella cartella "C: \ Users \ nome utente \ My Music \ iTunes \ ".

Come gestire i tuoi file MP3 automaticamente con iTunes
- Assicurati di avere l'ultima versione di iTunes installata sul tuo computer. Puoi trovare il software per Mac OS e Windows.
- Dalla versione 11, iTunes crea automaticamente una struttura di cartelle nella cartella "iTunes Media". Esistono sottocartelle separate per es. Musica, app, video ecc.

Le insidie della gestione automatica della musica in iTunes
Anche se la funzione automatica può farti risparmiare un sacco di lavoro, dovresti comunque effettuare le regolazioni finali da solo. Due consigli:
- Controlla l'ortografia dei file importati nella finestra di iTunes (non in Explorer o Finder) per coerenza, in modo che, ad esempio, diversi album dello stesso artista vengano successivamente visualizzati insieme.
- Se hai importato file dal tuo disco rigido su iTunes nel modo sopra descritto, dovresti eliminare i file dalla vecchia posizione, altrimenti saranno duplicati sul tuo disco rigido, vale a dire nella cartella "iTunes Media".
